Some blurb in here about recently scored wines
"Cool red fruit. Some bright raspberry and strawberry, backed up by rose petal and sweet spice. Mellow, dry tannins, but a character of crunchy red fruit. Well balanced. Fairly simple and straight forward in the glass. Good price point. Unfiltered. Throwing some material. A slighter softer approach to Gaglioppo, and has the benefit of a few years of age to it now."
"Intense lemon, white peach and jasmine on the nose, backed up by fragrant notes of pineapple and orange blossom. A touch of butter emerges with time . On the palate it is crisp, steely, with a shimmering streak of ripe citrus. Pleasant, full, weighty, with a mineral texture. There's a lovely mouthfeel, with faint touches of lees ageing in the background. Outstanding high acid wine full of depth, elegance and gravitas."
"Very floral nose that pushes forth vanilla and brioche aromas to compliment distinctive lemon. Obvious barrel ageing on the nose, but it's restrained enough; the palate is full bodied with a plump, fatty texture. Mellow citrus, honeysuckle and vanilla. Still fresh and vibrant. Well made."
"Dark fruit notes, but fairly earhty. Herbal spices, and sweet vanilla scents adds complexity to a base of black cherry and bramble. Grippy palate, with prominant tannin and acidty. Good frame, with lean fruit. Complex finish. Top quality expression of Aglianico del Taburno. "
"The wine shows a medium ruby colour, clear and shiny, not a hint of garnet at the moment. The nose reveals nuances of sour cherries, blueberries, a hint of violets and spices like cloves and vanilla,. The palate is fresh and juicy, offering crunchy acidity, slight drying tannins and warming alcohol. The finish is lingering with nuances of red and black cherries, complemented by a delicate note of nutmeg. Still very young."
"The wine shows a medium ruby colour. The nose is spicy and savoury, slightly restrained, opening up with nuances of withered flowers and dried cherries. The palate offers a classic Sangiovese vibe: slightly rough tannins, high acidity, savoury notes of tomato leaves and hard, irony character. Looks promising but needs more time."
"The wine shows a medium ruby colour with a garnet rim. The nose is rather discreet, with aeration opening up nuances of fallen leaves, a hint of sweet spices, dried cranberries and goji berries. The palate reveals a sound imprint of oak, grippy tannins and bold character. The finish is warming and spicy. An autumn wine."
"Clean, expressive lemon and melon on the nose. Lightly creamy texture with lots of succulent citrus, mineral, zest and a modest finish of flowers, lemongrass and faint grapefruit."
"Floral notes of dried flowers, broom and geraniums. A little bit of evolution showing on the nose. Attractive. Moorish. Savoury nuances envelope apricot and mandarin. Nice structure. Very crisp, tart, fresh. Aperitif vibes. Crunchy yellow fruit on the finish."
"Intriguing nose of apple, smoke and minerals, backed up by intense scents of lemon and mountain fauna. Fresh, lifted. Good concentration. Lots of citrus on the palate. Complexity. Attractive. Good depth and tension, with an elegantly tart finish."
"Intense aromas of apricot, honey, fig dominate the first wave of aromas. A luscious palate of ripe fruit. Layers of stone and tropical fruit zip around the mouth. A touch of caramel emerges. Candied notes. Endlessly complex. Subtle nuances of coastal scrub. Faint spice. Long, hedonistic finish. Top wine. Very excited to see this develop over time."
"In the vein of Provence, a delicate pink hue captures the elegance of the wine with its bright nose of citrus, raspberry, and garden herbs. Bright on the palate, a backbone of vibrant acidity frames crunchy pomegranate and spring strawberry notes. Fresh, crisp, and flavorful, it's everything you want in a Sunday afternoon garden party rosé."
"Despite the northward nudge in alcohol, this red blend shows good balance, offering generous, open red and blue fruits and evolving tertiary flavors of leather and pepper spice. Full-bodied with a touch of cocoa bitters and campfire smoke on the finish, ready to drink now."
"The meaty, smoky, spicy nose follows through to the juicy palate. Full-bodied with firm tannins, a throughline of bright acidity supports additional flavors of muddled blackberry and plum laced with tobacco, black pepper, and clove. Satisfying with a moderately long finish, drink now or in another 2-3 years."
"Rather than the sun-ripened exuberance of Grenache from comparably warm climates, this version takes a darker, brooding turn towards spice, black raspberry, and bramble fruit, finishing with a hint of bitterness. Full-bodied with firm acidity, allow for a few hours of decanting."
"A feral note on the nose, both musky and earthy, speaks to the Syrah and Mourvèdre in this red blend. Vibrant red fruits from Grenache elevate the profile and lend a pinch of saline seasoning to the blood-iron core. A full-bodied, dense, unfiltered expression of Crete’s primal character."
"Aromatics sing of cool springtime fruits, crunchy red berries, and savory forest floor. Gently rustic tannins show a slight bitter edge. Though meant for a weeknight tonic after a day of domestic chores by the “Mrs.” (according to the label?!) there’s more to this package than easygoing flavor."
"Exhilarating nose of peaches and apple blossoms leads to a silky, elegant palate of orchard fruits, Italian parsley, and citrus pith. Full-bodied with balanced alcohol and acidity, finishes just shy of long."
"Savory, leesy, and textural, this sapid dry white has lovely breadth and a refined, detailed palate that remains pure and focused. Flavors of yellow fruits, white flowers, citrus, and a chalky minerality tinged with evergreen freshness, compose the deep, flavorful core that flows into the long finish."
"An example of flinty, mineral finesse, this dry, zippy white shows white peach, lemon zest, and crushed stone on the nose and palate. A lingering, saline finish ends on a tidy, clean note."
