Morellino di Scansano DOCG "Vigna Benefizio" by Cantina Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano

Image coming soon

Key wine information

Producer Cantina Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano
Style Still
Colour Red
Grape Blend Sangiovese (100%)
Label Vigna Benefizio
Appellation Morellino di Scansano DOCG
Region Tuscany

Tasting Notes

The wine shows a medium ruby colour. The nose is spicy and savoury, slightly restrained, opening up with nuances of withered flowers and dried cherries. The palate offers a classic Sangiovese vibe: slightly rough tannins, high acidity, savoury notes of tomato leaves and hard, irony character. Looks promising but needs more time.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows a medium ruby colour, clear and shiny, not a hint of garnet at the moment. The nose reveals nuances of sour cherries, blueberries, a hint of violets and spices like cloves and vanilla,. The palate is fresh and juicy, offering crunchy acidity, slight drying tannins and warming alcohol. The finish is lingering with nuances of red and black cherries, complemented by a delicate note of nutmeg. Still very young.
