"Il Repertorio" by

Il Repertorio is an Aglianico del Vulture produced by one of Basilicata's top estates - Cantine del Notaio. The wine generally sits in the middle of the product range, above the more basic reds but behind wines such as La Firma and Il Sigilo. Nevertheless, it is a well respected, award winning Aglianico with good ageing potential. It is named after an aspect of the legal profession, with 'Il Repertorio' referring to a repertory or archive of notarial contracts.

Tasting Notes

Closed nose, but some notes of black cherry and balsam emerging with time. A little bit of vanilla also. Very structured in the mouth. Lots of life ahead of it. Balanced, with a nice complex finish of black cherry, liquorice and sweet spice. It’s structured yet fresh and has a lot of personality.
