This island of Brač is an excellent source of Plavac Mali. Most of the vineyards are planted on steep slopes on the south of the island.
Brač is the largest of all Croatia's Dalmatian islands and has plenty of potential quality wine making. Located in the Adriatic sea, it benefits from a Mediterranean climate. [Plavac Mali](/plavac-mali) is the grape of choice here and in the island's sweltering summer heat, it produces inky black wines with huge structure and tannin.
