Plavac Mali

Plavac Mali is the most important red grape variety in Croatia. It produces big, heavy red wines with lots of black fruit, colour and tannin.

"Big, boisterous and elegant all at the same time. Red brick colour. Lovely see breeze and salinity on first sniff. The nose reveals aromas of ripe red fruit, licorice and wet stone. Full-bodied wine with lots of blackberry, eucalyptus and sea saltiness on the palate and tamed but very present tannins. The aftertaste is long with notes of spiciness. (One of my top five Croatian Plavac Mali wines!)"
