Les Chaffots wines

Les Chaffots is located high up on a hill, just below the treeline. It is one of just three Premier Cru vineyards to sit above the Grand Crus - with Les Genavrieres and the Chardonnay focussed Monts Luisants. As one of the higher elevation sites in the appellation Les Chaffots requires a longer ripening period and is typically leaner and fresher than the Grand Cru wines just below. Recommendations would be Domaine Castagnier and Domaine Magnien.
