Poggio Rosso is produced from one of San Felice‘s top sites. It was first produced in the early 1970s. Ever since 2004 a small amount of Pugnitello has been used.

Intriguing nose of plum, fresh cherry, black pepper and menthol. Very attractive herbal notes. Stony minerality. Yet to develop the level of complexity this wine is capable of. Full bodied with chewy tannin propping up rich fruit - raspberry, blackberry and prune - as well as sweet spices. A sinewy, fresh finish. Many years ahead of it.
