La Gioia is a blend of grapes from different vineyard plots on the estate. Historically it was aged for 30 months in new, second and third passage tonneaux, however Riecine now use concrete.

100% Sangiovese. A very ripe nose of concentrated berry fruit and plum jostles with outpourings of violet and sweet spice. Then come gentle waves of chocolate and cocoa. Despite its full bodied stature this is fresh and energetic, lifted by confident acidity and mineral complexity. A very well made wine that finishes with typical varietal tension, notes of raspberry, cherry and mushroom.
