Finessed aromas of raspberry and prune, faint black olives and liquorice. The palate is made of silky red fruit, but noticeably deeper and more concentrated than the Chianti Classico. Impressive sinewy structure encompasses gentle oak and fresh acidity. Lightens with strawberry earth character on the finish. Fantastic riserva with manny years ahead of it.
