Colour White
Grape Blend Pallagrello Bianco (100%)
Label Morrone
Appellation Terre del Volturno IGP
Region Campania
Alcohol 13.0%

Tasting Notes

Straw yellow in colour, the Alois Pallagrello Bianco is a refined, polished wine. At times quite neutral on the nose, but a gentle floral characteristic lingers alongside faint brioche and vanilla, obtained from partial maturation in oak. The palate is rounded, almost creamy, exuding faint notes of banana and peach. Some mandarin in there too. With time in the glass these aromas become more expressive. There is a notable sense of alcohol on the finish. An interesting wine from a potentially very interesting grape variety.

Attractive saline nose, with green apple and earthy terroir characteristics. Soft chalky texture. Impressive breadth and depth. Serious wine with elegance and polish. Gastronomic style, with restrained citrus fruit on the palate. Good length and a touch of warm alcohol on the finish.
