Grape Blend Sangiovese (100%)
Appellation Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Alcohol 14.0%

Tasting Notes

Enticing and layered aromas of mature berry, spice, and cedar - lifted by a fragrant but discreet bouquet of dried flowers. It’s supple with soft, silky tannin. The wine’s typical acidity has subsided a little, although remains finely balanced with the promise of more time ahead of it. A long, distinguished finish of well integrated fruit, earth and wood smoke confirms this as a great wine. Really impressive expression of Sangiovese on the lighter, elegant side of of the Brunello spectrum.

Tasting Notes

Outstanding Brunello. After a little time in the glass it reveals seductive notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant and sweet spice. There are notes of chocolate, leather and cigar in there too. The palate is firm and structured with moderate acidity managing to lift fleshy, almost dense favours of dark bramble fruit. The finish is long, complex and typical of this great winemaking territory. Small production, but many years ahead of it and undoubtedly a wine that will reward the collector.

Tasting Notes

Still relatively closed on the nose and clearly needs more time to develop. Very promising signs of classy floral perfumes, seductive black fruit and distant tobacco. The palate delivers classic Brunello austerity, but held in check by a gentle, velvety texture. Lots of vibrant, but slender forest fruit character here - undoubtedly restrained and unobtrusive. Huge potential here and a fine, elegant example of the cooler aspects of Montalcino’s terroir.
