Benoît Lahaye is one of Champagne's excellent small grower names.
Benoît and Valérie Lahaye run one of the most respected small grower Champagne houses around. They registered their 4.5 hectares of vineyard as biodynamic in 2003. In such a cool, often wet climate, this was seen by many as madness, but over a decade later the importance of that decision can be seen clearly in the wines. They produce wines of incredible depth and complexity, characterised by part vinification in oak, low dosage and no malolactic fermentation.
