Pouilly-Vinzelles is a white wine appellation in the Mâconnais. Around 53 hectares of Chardonnay are planted and produce wines in a range of different styles.
#### What are the most recognised vineyards in Pouilly-Vinzelles? Like the rest of the [Mâconnais](/subzone/maconnais) there are no Premier Cru sites. There are however a number of lieu-dits that provide some historical insight into the appellation's important areas. These are Aux Bourgeois, Château Bardon, Château de Vinzelles, Les Bois Préaux, Les Buchardières, Les Longeays, Les Petaux, Les Quarts, Les Verchères, Pré du Château and Sency.
