Albarola

Albarola is a white grape variety grown in Liguria and the Northern coastal area of Tuscany. Generally it is used to blend, but it can be found as a pure mono varietal in Liguria's Golfo del Tigullio DOC. It is perhaps more commonly seen as part of a blend in Liguria's Cinque Terra DOC alongside Vermentino and Bosco.

"Lightly scented nose of tropical fruit; pineapple in particular emerges alongside some green apple and wild herb notes. Subtle salinity adds some mild complexity. Medium bodied; high acidity leaves a mouth puckering finish."
