Trebbiano Spoletino

Trebbiano Spoletino is a white grape variety grown in Umbria. It is considered a very different variety to other Trebbiano grapes and in fact has very little in common with them. With low yields and a little care in the cellar it can produce impressive white wines. Producers in the territory of Spoleto are increasingly referring to it as ‘Spoletino’ in order to distinguish it from other Trebbiano grape varieties.

"Impressive chalky texture on the palate. A very fresh, shimmering white wine, with well integrated acidity suggestive of good ageing potential. A little warm alcohol on the finish merges with almond. Nice notes of apricot and stone fruit, hints of banana. Moderate finish."
