Grüner Veltliner is a white wine grape variety which grows predominantly in the Central European countries of Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The best expressions of this grape produce rich, assertive, well structured wines with the potential to age well; these examples are quite capable of competing with more well known varietals such as Chardonnay and Riesling.
