Vermentino

Vermentino is a white grape variety found in Sardinia and Tuscany. It is officially also the same variety as Favorita and the more famous Pigato. It is increasingly found in France where it is known as Rolle.

Recommendations for Vermentino

Sardinian Vermentino from Galleria has a wonderful note of salinity, a style which Tenute Gregu and Capichera excel at.

Vermentino (100%)

"Grassy notes dominate the nose with some subtle notes of peach and honey. The plate is oily and textured with modest acidity, characterised by gentle tree fruit and citrus flavours. There is a slight touch of almond on the finish, but it’s pleasant enough. A good value, easy drinking Tuscan white."
