Montepulciano is an important red grape variety grown in Le Marche, Molise, Lazio, Tuscany and Puglia. It's appreciated for it's ability to create easy, fruity wines, even though it is difficult to handle in the cellar. It's best expressions perhaps come in Cònero DOCG and Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG.
