Grenache

Grenache (often referred to by the more formal Grenache Noir and known also as Garnacha) is a red wine grape variety which has found particular success in the warm, dry climates around the Mediterranean, in Australia and in parts of the US state of California. Its relative ease of cultivation and winemaking versatility make it a popular choice for producers across the world’s warmer wine regions.

Offspring: Caladoc, Marselan

Wines made from Grenache

Côtes du Rhône AOC "L’O de Joncier"

Domaine du Joncier , Southern Rhône, Rhône Valley

Grenache (98%)Cinsault (2%)

"A light and refreshing Côtes du Rhône produced with balance, harmony and character. Not particularly complex but vibrant and energetic, thanks no doubt to four years of certified biodynamic farming. This is savoury and moreish but with just enough polish to make it stand out in a crowd."
